DO NOT SELL OR SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION

KOEGLE LAW GROUP, APC

Effective Date: January 23, 2026

Last Updated: January 23, 2026

OVERVIEW

California law gives you the right to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. This page explains what these terms mean under California law, what information may be sold or shared, and how you can exercise your right to opt-out.

WHAT DOES “SELLING” AND “SHARING” MEAN?

Understanding the Legal Definitions

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), “selling” and “sharing” have specific legal meanings that are broader than traditional commercial transactions:

Sale of Personal Information: The disclosure of personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. This can include situations where we allow third parties to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Website.

Sharing of Personal Information: The disclosure of personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration. This includes allowing advertising networks to use your browsing behavior on our Website to show you targeted advertisements on other websites.

Important Clarification: KOEGLE LAW GROUP, APC does not sell your personal information in the traditional sense—we do not exchange your contact information or personal details for money. However, like many businesses with a website presence, we use certain third-party services for analytics and advertising that may constitute “selling” or “sharing” under California’s broad legal definitions.
